Maples Rugs - Quality American Rug Since 1966
Since 1928, the Maples family has been manufacturing home textiles in the small town of Scottsboro, Alabama. We first went into business as the Maples Company making tufted chenille bedspreads, pot holders and robes. We later expanded into bath and accent rugs.
Through three-generational legacy, today Maples Rugs still focuses solely on the tufted rug. We are a major driver in our local community and proudly boast that all of our manufacturing are done in the USA

For Living Room"p" For medium sized Living Rooms, we recommend choosing our 5 x 7 area rugs. This size allows for a greater design pallet, so the motifs can become larger and more focused on the room's décor. Aesthetically, an area rug provides a frame for the furniture, adding to the overall décor of the room. You can even place a rug over carpeting to bring style into your living space.Designer Tip: Make sure the front legs of the furniture are on the rug. The rug should have at least 6" on each side of the furniture. |
For Dining RoomFor medium sized Dining Rooms or Dining Tables that with 6 chairs or less, we recommend placing our 5 x 7 area rugs. Because spills are inevitable, our low-pile rugs are the best choice in the dining room. They are easy to maintain and clean. Designer Tip: Make sure the dining chairs are all on the rug around the entire table. Leave at least 1 foot of floor around the perimeter of the room. A good rule of thumb is that the rug should be 3-4 ft larger in length and width to the dining room table. |
For BedroomIn bedrooms, there are various ways to incorporate a rug. You may choose a rug large enough to accommodate all of the room's furniture, with a symmetrical border of exposed flooring on all sides. Since the average size bedrooms, the bed will cover the majority of a rug, you may want to choose a smaller rug to place around it instead.
